5-261-12-072-001 is a SU/WU unit built on a removable U-tube bundle for steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 12-inch shell, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 77-1/2 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 126 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in swimming pool heating, radiant panel and snow-melt converters, and building comfort heating.
