Configured for steam-to-liquid heating, this configuration carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 10-inch shell, 96-inch shell length, and roughly 101 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 110 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated 5-261-10-096-005. Typical duty includes building comfort heating, radiant panel and snow-melt converters, and instantaneous domestic water heating.
