A removable U-tube bundle gives 5-261-08-084-004 the thermal and mechanical margin expected of SU/WU equipment in steam-to-liquid heating. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 8-inch shell, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 89-3/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 58 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in radiant panel and snow-melt converters, building comfort heating, and swimming pool heating.
