Configured for steam-to-liquid heating, this configuration carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 14-inch shell, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 80-3/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 175 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in swimming pool heating, building comfort heating, and instantaneous domestic water heating. This build is designated 5-260-14-072-001.
