Steam condenses in the single-pass shell while the heated fluid travels the tubes. Physically, the unit runs a 6-inch shell, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 88-1/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 31.5 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as 5-260-06-084-002. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature.
