The Diamondback DSU/DWU platform pairs a double-wall U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to steam-to-liquid heating with cross-contamination protection. An atmospheric air gap between the inner and outer tube vents any breach to the outside, giving a visible telltale leak instead of silent mixing. Physically, the unit runs a 12-inch shell, 72-inch shell length in a 2-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper (double wall) tubes, and naval brass tubesheets.
