The Diamondback DSU/DWU platform pairs a double-wall U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and 5-262-12-060-002 applies that design to steam-to-liquid heating with cross-contamination protection. An atmospheric air gap between the inner and outer tube vents any breach to the outside, giving a visible telltale leak instead of silent mixing. The configuration measures 12 inches across the shell, 60-inch shell length in a 4-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper (double wall) tubes, and naval brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are health care and institutional plumbing, potable water heating, and food and beverage process heating.
