5-262-10-072-003 is a Diamondback DSU/DWU unit built on a double-wall U-tube bundle for steam-to-liquid heating with cross-contamination protection. An atmospheric air gap between the inner and outer tube vents any breach to the outside, giving a visible telltale leak instead of silent mixing. The configuration measures 10 inches across the shell, 72-inch shell length in a 6-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper (double wall) tubes, and naval brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in domestic hot water where codes require double-wall separation, health care and institutional plumbing, and potable water heating.
