WU85-64

Configured for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling, WU85-64 carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Its envelope centers on a 8-inch diameter shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 65 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 33 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in pool and storage-tower heating, hydronic HVAC converters, and condensate cooling.
