WU84-44

The SU/WU platform pairs a removable U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and WU84-44 applies that design to liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Dimensionally it is a 8-inch shell unit, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 53 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 32 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are hydronic HVAC converters, pool and storage-tower heating, and condensate cooling.
