WU266-4

A removable U-tube bundle gives WU266-4 the thermal and mechanical margin expected of SU/WU equipment in liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Dimensionally it is a 26-inch shell unit, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 117-3/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 694 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in condensate cooling, oil cooling and snow melting, and hydronic HVAC converters.
