Configured for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling, this configuration carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Physically, the unit runs a 18-inch shell, 96-inch shell length, and roughly 111-1/2 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated WU188-66.
