Configured for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling, this configuration carries the removable U-tube bundle construction that defines the SU/WU range. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Its envelope centers on a 18-inch diameter shell, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 65-1/2 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 195 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Installations range across condensate cooling, hydronic HVAC converters, and oil cooling and snow melting. This build is designated WU184-412.
