Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling for demanding service. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. The configuration measures 16 inches across the shell, 96-inch shell length, and roughly 105-3/4 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated WU168-65. The series sees regular use in oil cooling and snow melting, condensate cooling, and hydronic HVAC converters. Optional stainless shells, 90/10 copper-nickel tubes, and cast brass or bronze bonnets suit aggressive or brackish water service.
