Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling for demanding service. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. The configuration measures 16 inches across the shell, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 93-3/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 265 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Installations range across pool and storage-tower heating, hydronic HVAC converters, and oil cooling and snow melting. This build is designated WU167-210.
