WU166-25

This configuration is a SU/WU unit built on a removable U-tube bundle for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. The configuration measures 16 inches across the shell, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 81-3/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 227 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated WU166-25. Typical duty includes condensate cooling, oil cooling and snow melting, and hydronic HVAC converters.
