The SU/WU platform pairs a removable U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and WU165-65 applies that design to liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Its envelope centers on a 16-inch diameter shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 69-3/4 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes pool and storage-tower heating, hydronic HVAC converters, and condensate cooling. Optional stainless shells, 90/10 copper-nickel tubes, and cast brass or bronze bonnets suit aggressive or brackish water service.
