Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Physically, the unit runs a 14-inch shell, 108-inch shell length, and roughly 117-1/8 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes pool and storage-tower heating, hydronic HVAC converters, and oil cooling and snow melting. Optional stainless shells, 90/10 copper-nickel tubes, and cast brass or bronze bonnets suit aggressive or brackish water service. This build is designated WU149-64.
