A removable U-tube bundle gives this configuration the thermal and mechanical margin expected of SU/WU equipment in liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. The configuration measures 14 inches across the shell, 96-inch shell length, and roughly 105-1/8 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as WU148-64. As furnished, materials include cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in pool and storage-tower heating, hydronic HVAC converters, and oil cooling and snow melting.
