A removable U-tube bundle gives this configuration the thermal and mechanical margin expected of SU/WU equipment in liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. The configuration measures 14 inches across the shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 69-1/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 139 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as WU145-44. Material selection covers cast iron or brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel or brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature.
