A removable U-tube bundle gives 5-266-12-084-001 the thermal and mechanical margin expected of SU/WU equipment in liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Dimensionally it is a 12-inch shell unit, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 92-1/2 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 148 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in pool and storage-tower heating, hydronic HVAC converters, and condensate cooling.
