This configuration is a SU/WU unit built on a removable U-tube bundle for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Dimensionally it is a 8-inch shell unit, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 89 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 58 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in hydronic HVAC converters, condensate cooling, and oil cooling and snow melting. This build is designated 5-266-08-084-005.
