Built around a removable U-tube bundle, this configuration delivers liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling for demanding service. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Physically, the unit runs a 8-inch shell, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 89 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 58 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in hydronic HVAC converters, pool and storage-tower heating, and oil cooling and snow melting. This build is designated 5-266-08-084-001.
