Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Physically, the unit runs a 8-inch shell, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 65 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 41 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated 5-266-08-060-002.
