5-266-08-048-005 is a SU/WU unit built on a removable U-tube bundle for liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Physically, the unit runs a 8-inch shell, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 53 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 32 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast brass bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are hydronic HVAC converters, oil cooling and snow melting, and condensate cooling.
