For liquid-to-liquid heating and cooling, the SU/WU line offers a removable U-tube bundle design; this configuration sits within that range. Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Dimensionally it is a 4-inch shell unit, 60-inch shell length, and roughly 64-7/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 11.5 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes condensate cooling, pool and storage-tower heating, and oil cooling and snow melting. This build is designated 5-266-04-060-002.
