Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Physically, the unit runs a 12-inch shell, 108-inch shell length, and roughly 116-1/2 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 156 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as 5-265-12-108-003. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature.
