Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Its envelope centers on a 10-inch diameter shell, 108-inch shell length, and roughly 113 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 104 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, N/A on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Installations range across oil cooling and snow melting, pool and storage-tower heating, and hydronic HVAC converters.
