Pumped boiler water circulates through the baffled shell against the tube-side fluid. Dimensionally it is a 6-inch shell unit, 84-inch shell length, and roughly 88-1/8 inches overall in a 6-pass arrangement. That works out to about 23.8 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. That combination is cataloged as 5-265-06-084-003. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in hydronic HVAC converters, oil cooling and snow melting, and condensate cooling.
