Built around a removable straight-tube bundle, this configuration delivers general industrial liquid-to-liquid heat transfer for demanding service. An internally packed floating rear tubesheet absorbs differential expansion, and the bundle pulls for straight-through mechanical tube cleaning. Dimensionally it is a 18-inch shell unit, 108-inch shell length, and roughly 127 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 543 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated 5-151-18-108-001. Common applications are oil and quench cooling, process heating and cooling, and chemical and refinery duty.
