An internally packed floating rear tubesheet absorbs differential expansion, and the bundle pulls for straight-through mechanical tube cleaning. Dimensionally it is a 14-inch shell unit, 156-inch shell length, and roughly 173 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 493 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are process heating and cooling, oil and quench cooling, and chemical and refinery duty.
