An internally packed floating rear tubesheet absorbs differential expansion, and the bundle pulls for straight-through mechanical tube cleaning. Physically, the unit runs a 6-inch shell, 36-inch shell length, and roughly 44-1/2 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 19.4 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and steel tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are oil and quench cooling, chemical and refinery duty, and process heating and cooling.
