Built around a double-wall U-tube bundle, 5-267-12-072-001 delivers liquid-to-liquid transfer with cross-contamination protection for demanding service. Each tube is vented to atmosphere through a diamond-pattern air gap, so a failure in either wall reports itself outside the unit. Dimensionally it is a 12-inch shell unit, 72-inch shell length in a 2-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper (double wall) tubes, and naval brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 125 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are domestic water systems under double-wall codes, potable water heating and cooling, and glycol-to-potable loops.
