This configuration is a Diamondback DSU/DWU unit built on a double-wall U-tube bundle for liquid-to-liquid transfer with cross-contamination protection. Each tube is vented to atmosphere through a diamond-pattern air gap, so a failure in either wall reports itself outside the unit. Dimensionally it is a 10-inch shell unit, 96-inch shell length in a 6-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper (double wall) tubes, and naval brass tubesheets.
