The Diamondback DSU/DWU platform pairs a double-wall U-tube bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and this configuration applies that design to liquid-to-liquid transfer with cross-contamination protection. Each tube is vented to atmosphere through a diamond-pattern air gap, so a failure in either wall reports itself outside the unit. Physically, the unit runs a 8-inch shell, 84-inch shell length in a 6-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper (double wall) tubes, and naval brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. This build is designated 5-267-08-084-003.
