Each tube is vented to atmosphere through a diamond-pattern air gap, so a failure in either wall reports itself outside the unit. Its envelope centers on a 8-inch diameter shell, 48-inch shell length in a 2-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes.
