Built around a double-wall U-tube bundle, 5-267-04-084-002 delivers liquid-to-liquid transfer with cross-contamination protection for demanding service. Each tube is vented to atmosphere through a diamond-pattern air gap, so a failure in either wall reports itself outside the unit. Its envelope centers on a 4-inch diameter shell, 84-inch shell length in a 4-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper (double wall) tubes, and naval brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. The series sees regular use in glycol-to-potable loops, domestic water systems under double-wall codes, and process cooling where mixing cannot be tolerated.
