A double-wall U-tube bundle gives 5-267-04-036-002 the thermal and mechanical margin expected of Diamondback DSU/DWU equipment in liquid-to-liquid transfer with cross-contamination protection. Each tube is vented to atmosphere through a diamond-pattern air gap, so a failure in either wall reports itself outside the unit. The configuration measures 4 inches across the shell, 36-inch shell length in a 4-pass arrangement. It carries 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper (double wall) tubes, and naval brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 150 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 375°F maximum temperature. Common applications are domestic water systems under double-wall codes, glycol-to-potable loops, and process cooling where mixing cannot be tolerated.
