CHXS648-2S

CHXS648-2S is a CHXS compact unit built on a fixed-tubesheet bundle for compact liquid cooling in corrosive service. It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. Physically, the unit runs a 6-inch shell, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 52-3/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 45 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes chemical and food process cooling, hydraulic and lube oil cooling, and mechanical seal cooling.
