A fixed-tubesheet bundle gives this configuration the thermal and mechanical margin expected of CHXS compact equipment in compact liquid cooling in corrosive service. It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. The configuration measures 6 inches across the shell, 36-inch shell length, and roughly 41 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 34 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated CHXS636-1L.
