Built around a fixed-tubesheet bundle, this configuration delivers compact liquid cooling in corrosive service for demanding service. It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. Dimensionally it is a 6-inch shell unit, 24-inch shell length, and roughly 29 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 23 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated CHXS624-1S. Common applications are mechanical seal cooling, hydraulic and lube oil cooling, and chemical and food process cooling.
