This configuration is a CHXS compact unit built on a fixed-tubesheet bundle for compact liquid cooling in corrosive service. It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. Dimensionally it is a 5-inch shell unit, 14-inch shell length, and roughly 18-5/16 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 9.1 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated CHXS514-2S.
