It shares the compact CHX envelope while targeting service that would attack a standard cooler. The configuration measures 3 inches across the shell, 24-inch shell length, and roughly 27-1/2 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 7.4 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, steel shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes deionized and treated water cooling, chemical and food process cooling, and hydraulic and lube oil cooling.
