CHX872-4S

Built around a fixed-tubesheet bundle, CHX872-4S delivers compact liquid cooling for demanding service. Small-diameter tubes pack maximum surface into a short shell, keeping the mounting footprint tight. Physically, the unit runs a 8-inch shell, 72-inch shell length, and roughly 78-3/4 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 124 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, brass shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are engine jacket water cooling, hydraulic and lube oil cooling, and injection molding machine cooling. All non-ferrous shellside construction resists water-side corrosion, and brass heads are available as an option.
