CHX636-2S

Built around a fixed-tubesheet bundle, CHX636-2S delivers compact liquid cooling for demanding service. Small-diameter tubes pack maximum surface into a short shell, keeping the mounting footprint tight. Dimensionally it is a 6-inch shell unit, 36-inch shell length, and roughly 40-3/4 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 34 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, brass shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Typical duty includes mechanical seal cooling, hydraulic and lube oil cooling, and engine jacket water cooling. All non-ferrous shellside construction resists water-side corrosion, and brass heads are available as an option.
