CHX436-4S

The CHX compact platform pairs a fixed-tubesheet bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and CHX436-4S applies that design to compact liquid cooling. Small-diameter tubes pack maximum surface into a short shell, keeping the mounting footprint tight. Physically, the unit runs a 4-inch shell, 36-inch shell length, and roughly 39-5/8 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 21.2 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. As furnished, materials include cast iron bonnets, brass shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are injection molding machine cooling, engine jacket water cooling, and hydraulic and lube oil cooling.
