This configuration is a CHX compact unit built on a fixed-tubesheet bundle for compact liquid cooling. Small-diameter tubes pack maximum surface into a short shell, keeping the mounting footprint tight. Its envelope centers on a 4-inch diameter shell, 36-inch shell length, and roughly 39-5/8 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 21.2 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. Material selection covers cast iron bonnets, brass shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. On the ratings side, expect 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated CHX436-2S. Common applications are mechanical seal cooling, hydraulic and lube oil cooling, and injection molding machine cooling.
