Its envelope centers on a 3-inch diameter shell, 24-inch shell length, and roughly 27-1/2 inches overall in a 4-pass arrangement. That works out to about 7.4 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. The build specifies cast iron bonnets, brass shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Design ratings run to 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. This build is designated CHX324-4S.
