The CHX compact platform pairs a fixed-tubesheet bundle with proven shell-side baffling, and CHX324-2S applies that design to compact liquid cooling. Small-diameter tubes pack maximum surface into a short shell, keeping the mounting footprint tight. Dimensionally it is a 3-inch shell unit, 24-inch shell length, and roughly 27-1/2 inches overall in a 2-pass arrangement. That works out to about 7.4 square feet of heat transfer surface on 5/8-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, brass shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. The unit is rated for 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are mechanical seal cooling, engine jacket water cooling, and injection molding machine cooling.
