Configured for compact liquid cooling, 5-030-08-048-001 carries the fixed-tubesheet bundle construction that defines the CHX compact range. Small-diameter tubes pack maximum surface into a short shell, keeping the mounting footprint tight. Dimensionally it is a 8-inch shell unit, 48-inch shell length, and roughly 55 inches overall in a 1-pass arrangement. That works out to about 82 square feet of heat transfer surface on 3/4-inch O.D. tubes. Standard construction uses cast iron bonnets, brass shell, copper tubes, and brass tubesheets. Operating limits are 300 PSI on the shell side, 150 PSI on the tube side, and 300°F maximum temperature. Common applications are engine jacket water cooling, injection molding machine cooling, and mechanical seal cooling. All non-ferrous shellside construction resists water-side corrosion, and brass heads are available as an option.
